Welcome to Romeo Music. My name is Sammy Romeo, and I am a music instructor located in Waterloo, Ontario. I am a proficient guitarist and drummer with over 15 years of experience playing each instrument. I am also an avid songwriter and have experience writing, composing and producing original music for more than 12 years.
My Classes
Classes with Romeo Music are solely one-on-one, creating a fully personalized lesson tailored to the student's needs. One-on-one lessons are beneficial to students and enhance the learning process so students can progress at their desired pace, with no pressure to keep up with others. With Romeo Music, you will not only learn how to play your instrument, but you will understand your instrument.

DRUM LESSONS
GUITAR LESSONS
COMPOSITION
Available to students who are proficient in at least one musical instrument.
A program designed for music enthusiasts with the desire to write their own songs. Whether you have an idea as simple as a hummable melody, or a grand vision of the next "Bohemian Rhapsody", this program is for you. You will learn about the songwriting process; starting from scratch with your original ideas, leading to your creation coming to life.
$80 per 60-minute lesson
Available to guitarists of all ages and experience levels.
Students will gain an understanding of how to read basic music notation and guitar tablature, how to play chords, and a basic understanding of music theory during the beginning stages of their guitar journey.
As you become more proficient with the guitar, you will have opportunities to learn your favourite songs, gain a deeper knowledge of guitar and music theory, and more.
$30 per 30-minute lesson
Available to drummers of all ages and experience levels.
Students will gain an understanding of basic terminology, proper technique, and basic exercises that are essential to be able to play your favourite songs.
During lessons, students will have opportunities to learn and apply their skills on the drum kit, as well as on a practice pad. You will learn certain skills with the most appropriate teaching approach.
$30 per 30-minute lesson
PIANO LESSONS
Available to beginner pianists of all ages.
Students will gain an understanding of basic music theory, how to read basic music notation, and learn to play basic exercises that will help develop coordination skills - necessary to play chords and melodies which both hands.
With enough time and practice, students will be able to simultaneously play the piano while read sheet music, play along to their favourite songs, and have a basic understanding of music composition.
$30 per 30-minute lesson
Please note, piano lessons with Romeo Music do not follow the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) method.
UKULELE LESSONS
Available to ukulelists of all ages.
Students will learn how to read basic music notation and tablature, and how to play various chords, strumming patterns, and strumming techniques; giving students the versatility and dynamic range to play along to their favourite songs.
The ukulele is a fantastic gateway instrument for those who may be slightly hesitant in learning how to play guitar. Due to the ukulele's small size and portability, it is great for anyone who wants to play a cost-effective musical instrument as a new and exciting hobby.

BASS GUITAR LESSONS
Available to bassists of all ages.
Students will gain an understanding of the melodic and rhythmic components of the bass, and learn how to read basic music notation, bass guitar tablature, and various right-hand techniques.
Students will learn the role the bass guitar serves as part of a band, and will have opportunities to apply their newly learned skills to their favourite songs.
$30 per 30-minute lesson

Romeo Music offers several Introductory Packages to new students, containing discounted lessons for the instrument of their choice. This will give you an opportunity to see if you like your lessons, the instructor and their teaching style, and whether or not you enjoy playing your instrument in general.

Available to singers of all ages and experience levels.
Learn to sing with experienced singer and vocal coach Issie Chung!
Vocal lessons will take place and are exclusive to In.Motion Dance.
Students will gain an understand of basic music theory, and learn skills that are necessary in order to sing properly, healthily, and safely.
